  1. When I read this scripture I always think of Melissa and Gen singing those words in the Young Women song. If we look to Christ that we doubt not and fear not. When we look to Christ all the unnecessary things fall out of our lives and we concentrate on the things that really matter. When we learn of Christ we feel his promptings and do the things he would do if he was here. The whole reason we are here on earth is to learn to be like our Savior so we can live with him someday. I hope we will all be there together.

  2. This scripture is another version of Christ's admonition to "Come follow me."

Last week I found this quote for Seminary from Stephen W. Owen's conference talk. "He is the greatest leader because He is the greatest follower- He follows His Father perfectly, in all things. In God's eyes, the greatest leaders have always been the greatest followers."

Are we following- doing what we learn from Him? Where are we leading those that follow us?

To truly know the Savior is to have not only learned of Him but lived trying to be like Him.
I can always be a better follower. Hopefully by following I am leading others to learn of Him so that we can all feel the peace the Savior brings.

  3. How about these for simple words with huge meaning and a big payoff....learn, listen, walk? If it is that simple why do we have trouble doing it? Maybe because we forget, too much outside noise, and we are running too many place. This simple scripture is a reminder to me of just how simple Christ has made the gospel. It is so simple that even a child can do it (except ye become as a little child). And then the promise - PEACE! Isn't it great to know that we can have PEACE in this busy, noisy, rushing world?
